60th Anniversary Celebration
Join us Sunday, January 26 as we celebrate 60 years on Emory Road! The history of Powell Church stretches back to 1880, and this past year we’ve celebrated the 10th anniversary of Recovery at Powell and the 20th anniversary of our worship center. But one of the most important moments in the history of our church came 60 years ago next week, when Powell United Methodist Church finished construction of our traditional sanctuary and opened its doors for worship at a new location, right here at 323 W Emory Road. We’re thrilled to have Lucille Shreve sharing the message next Sunday, one of a few people still active in our church who were there when these doors first opened in 1965!
